Gemstones and statement pieces have captured my imagination since I was a child. In the 1970's, I remember seeing my mother adorned in huge neck pieces, rings and silver hair clips that represented the aesthetic of Ancient Egypt, social activism, mysticism, and nature. I would wear her jewelry around our home and would even sneak pieces into my backpack and wear them at school while creating characters behind these wonderful gems. Today I am inspired by the old world and new, the celestial world that surround us and the use of metals that we use to build and represent our civilizations. Making jewelry is one of the vessels that I use to create which reflects the way that I see and feel the world around me, and I hope that you like what you see, and that my jewelry speaks to you as it speaks to me.
